What is Owl Expedition?
Owl Expedition is Kennesaw State’s premier extended orientation experience for first-time, first-year students. On the trip, you will be able to meet and build relationships with fellow members of the Class of 2021, meet current student leaders, faculty and staff, and participate in leadership and teambuilding programs that focus on what it means to be an Owl. You will also get a head start on learning about campus involvement opportunities and engage in dynamic activities that focus on common transition topics to best prepare you for classes and student life in the fall.
How much does Owl Expedition cost?
The cost to attend Owl Expedition is $250 before July 1st. Cost will go up to $275 afterwards. Camp is limited to up to approximately 120 new students.
What does my registration cost cover?
The entire trip is covered from start to finish. Cost includes: all activities on campus before departure, bus transportation to and from the camp, all camp materials, snacks, a total of 9 meals starting with lunch on the first day through breakfast on the final day, accommodations for four days and three nights, and white water rafting on the Ocoee River.
Is transportation to the Ocoee Retreat Center Provided?
Yes! All Owl Expedition participants will meet on the Kennesaw Campus and transportation will be provided via charter buses.
