Linda Lyons, Ed.D
Dr. Linda M. Lyons has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Georgia State University and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Georgia that focuses on adult education and organizational development. She is an assistant professor of education and Director of Strategic Initiatives in University College at Kennesaw State University. Linda teaches first-year seminars and leadership development courses that promote the development of intercultural competencies.
Dr. Lyons’ research focus is building intercultural competencies in higher education through a collaborative approach with faculty and facilitators who are charged with designing, implementing, and evaluating cultural awareness curriculum and initiatives. Previously, Dr. Lyons held the role of Interim Chief Diversity Officer and Director of the Center for University Learning at KSU. In both roles, she assisted stakeholders in recognizing and appreciating the value of diversity and inclusion through programs and multicultural education opportunities, and she managed professional development programs for staff.
Dr. Lyons also holds professional certifications in learning and organization development.
