All KSU students with fewer than 30 hours receive an academic advising hold at the beginning of each semester. This hold is placed on student accounts shortly after the drop/add period, and is removed after the student meets with his/her academic advisor, either an advisor at University College Advising Services or an advisor in the college of the student’s major.
Faculty/departmental advisors who are unable to remove the advising hold need to email firstname.lastname@example.org to have the advising hold removed. Please include the student's name and KSU ID number.
Other academic holds on a student record may include a bursar’s office hold, admissions office hold, and/or several other nonacademic hold categories. For a complete list of holds, click here.
