Strategic Outreach Initiatives

University College believes it is important to establish formal strategic relationships to serve students as they travel along their educational journey. Our Strategic Outreach Initiatives unit provides a structural connection for a variety of signature programs—Achieve Atlanta, Coca-Cola Scholars and Thrive. Programming is in place to enrich the academic success, improve retention, and strengthen engagement of targeted student populations. Building on University College’s mission of promoting diversity and inclusion as a vital part of student success, key populations served include first-generation students, veterans, nontraditional students, under-served groups, and students from rural/urban locations. The goal of the unit is to recruit, retain, and provide academic support services and co-curricular programming that will result in degree completion.
