First-Gen Showcase

In November, the Learning Communities Program will host its annual Academic Extravaganza. Students participating in the First-Gen Owls Learning Community will present their final semester projects, which will examine select topics in higher education through a first-gen lens. This year, we will invite students from local-area high schools to join us for a half-day workshop led by our First-Gen Owls, where they will learn more about first-gen KSU culture and meet some of our faculty, staff, and peer mentors.
