Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I find information about grading policies?

    What is the process for submitting grade changes?

    • Grade changes must be submitted on paper form. You may request a form at the front desk in the Department of Leadership and Integrative Studies, or email the office at ldrs@kennesaw.edu for assistance.

    How do I enter final grades?

  • When will I be paid?

    • Full-time Faculty: You will be paid monthly. Please refer to the Payroll Calendar for pay dates.
    • Part-time Faculty: You receive a paycheck each month that you teach. For example, if you teach a course that lasts the full fall or spring semester, you will receive monthly payments for five months (Aug-Dec or Jan-May). If you teach a 7 week course that starts in August and ends in October, you will be paid in 3 monthly payments.

    Do I have to enter the time I work on a timesheet?

    • Yes. Part-time faculty members are expected to enter time into OneUSG Connect.

    How many hours are part-time faculty expected to work?

    • The approximate hours part-time instructors typically work per week for a 3 credit hour course is 8.25 hours.

     How do I complete my timesheet?

  • When will students be able to see class information in D2L?

    • Students will be able to see this on the first day of class.

     

    What should I do if the technology in my classroom is not working?

    • During business hours 8:00 am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri:

            Please try rebooting the computer, if it is not working.

            Please notify someone at our reception desk (Library, Room 401/470-578-6207).

  • Do I have to take attendance?

    I’m am a new professor or a professor teaching a new course. How do I obtain a sample syllabus and a desk copy?

    • You should be contacted by someone in our office. If you have not heard from anyone within two days of being hired or assigned to a new course, please send a request to  ldrs@kennesaw.edu. Please include the class subject and course number (LDRS 3000, INTS 1198, etc.).
