Heather Scott, Ph.D.

heatherDr. Heather I. Scott is an Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at Kennesaw State University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre from Agnes Scott College, a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs Administration from The University of Georgia, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Higher Education Specialization from Mercer University.

She was recently selected as one of ten faculty members to participate in an Institute for Online Teaching and Learning. Additionally she has been named as a Coles College of Business Women and Leadership affiliated research faculty at Kennesaw State University.

Dr. Scott’s seminal research work has been conducted in the area of women and leadership and focuses on ascension patterns and experiences of women who have achieved the role of board of trustee chair.
