A student will be placed on academic probation if their adjusted GPA drops below a 2.0. After the student is placed on academic probation, there are certain criteria they must meet to avoid being dismissed from the university. Students must maintain a term GPA of at least a 2.0 for each semester while on probation.

Dismissal and Readmits
If a student fails to meet the criteria set for students on probation, he or she will be dismissed from the university. Dismissed students must reapply for admission prior to posted deadlines. Students who are dismissed are not eligible for immediate readmission. After the first dismissal, a student will be considered for readmission after an absence of one semester. After the second dismissal, a student will be considered for readmission after an absence of one calendar year from the end of the semester in which the second dismissal occurred. After the third dismissal, a student will not be eligible for readmission. Any exceptions to this policy must be appealed and approved by the Academic Standing Appeals Committee.
