Orientation (Ignition) is available for all new students and their parents. All first-time students are required to attend an orientation session. It is highly recommended that transfer students attend an orientation session. At orientation, you will learn about campus resources, meet with an academic advisor in a group setting, and register* for classes. Sign up for an orientation session through your Owl Express account. For more information, visit the orientation website
*Students must rectify any hold on their student account and be “Accepted” or “Accepted Pending” in order to register for classes during orientation. Students with AP, IB, Dual Enrollment, and/or transfer credit are strongly encouraged to bring a copy of their test scores or transcript with them to orientation.
We also encourage you to sign up for a Pre-Orientation meeting with an advisor at University College Advising Services. During this one-on-one meeting, you will meet with an academic advisor to become familiar with KSU policies, learn about General Education requirements, and discuss the next steps to take as a KSU student. Ideally, you should schedule this meeting once you have been accepted but before you attend orientation.Schedule Your Pre-Ignition Advising Appointment
